イギリスのプログレッシブロックバンド、マッチング・モールの《mole》 とイングランド南東部にあるカンタベリーの美しい丘を連想させる《 slope》から
名付けられたこのバンドは、
活動経験豊富なメンバーにより ポストロック、カンタベリーロック、ジャズ、ミニマル等の要素を独自のセンスで編み込んで産み出された多角的視覚効果を持つサウンドスケープとなっている。
2019年12月にファーストアルバム「Slope」をリリース。
時系列の丘を駆け下りながら散りばめられた時代の空気を吸収していったようなサウンドに仕上がっており、カンタベリーロック、クロスオーバージャズやクラウトロックからステレオラブやマウスオンザキーズ等のポストロックのファンにもアピール出来る作品となっている。
moleslope is a twin keyboard driven instrumental band thatconsists of an eclectic ensemble of 7 experienced musicians.
Their multifaceted soundscape uniquely blends elementsofpost-rock, Canterbury rock, jazz,and minimal music.
The band’s name was created combining the words“mole” from Matching Mole and
“slope” from thebeautifulslopes of Canterbury, England.
Their first full-length releasewas titled “SLOPE” which was taken from the band name.
The album features a soundscape that journeys down a slope of swiftly transitioning chronological sequences that wereformed absorbing scattered essences of various ages in music and is a collection of tracks that is sure to appealto fans of Canterbury
rock, crossover jazz, Krautrock, as wellas post-rock bands.
